Jon
began his commercial real estate journey in 2001 with the construction of a
Hampton Inn in Old Town, Alexandria, and started in business with establishing
Acquivest, an M&A Advisory firm, in 2004. Jon has since built a
reputation as a top deal maker within Florida as well as around the DC
Metropolitan area. To date, Jon and his team have led and transacted over
$1 billion in total deal volume.
Today,
in addition to roles overseeing Acquivest and Molayem Capital, Jon maintains
multiple board positions, supporting talented executive teams, and is a
Managing Director for venVelo, a leading early stage venture fund based in
Winter Park, FL. He is also a big supporter of Larger than Life.
Jon received a BS in Chemistry from the University of Maryland and an MBA from
the Crummer School of Business at Rollins College.
Jon
is extremely thankful for his team, as well all his friends in the business
community that have supported him along the way, especially the bankers,
financial advisors, consultants and business owners he has worked closely with
over the years. He would like to single out his father (Ben), wife (Oshrat),
Bert Risdon, Tony Vincent, and Fairwinds Credit Union, for betting on him when
many, many others did not.
Garren
joined the firm in 2016, bringing over a decade of M&A, finance and
lending experience. He has exposure leading deals in numerous industries
including business services, manufacturing, logistics, and medical. Garren
serves as a Managing Board Member of venVelo II, an angel investment group. He
served four years in the USMC, including one tour in support of Operation
Enduring Freedom.
Garren earned his AB from Rollins College, and his MBA from Rollins' Crummer
Graduate School of Business.
Zack Schwartz joined Acquivest in 2021 as Vice President Commercial Real
Estate. Zack brings over 9 years of commercial real estate portfolio
experience including acquisitions, investment & asset management,
development, and syndication. He is responsible for multiple asset
types, has negotiated, written, and executed over $75,000,000 in total
value under contract in the past 5 years.
In
addition to his passion of real estate property investing, Zack was a
partner in two web-based internet companies with sales over $30,000,000,
leading a team over 80, in the United States and internationally. Before
becoming a Real Estate investor, Zack graduated with his MBA from the
Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and was the
Entrepreneurial Scholar of Distinction at venVelo, an early stage
venture capital firm in Winter Park, Florida.
Kevin
Manley is a noted business strategist, exit advisor, business
intermediary, and entrepreneur. He has founded, advised, and/or invested
in a variety of companies in consumer electronics, manufacturing,
medical technology, philanthropic technology, real estate development,
etc. In 1995 Kevin co-founded Yesmail.com, an online e-marketing
solutions company. He and his co-founders took Yesmail public in 1999,
and sold it to CMGI in 2000 for over $700M. Kevin now helps owners of
growing and mature businesses maximize their company's value, leverage
their talent, improve their focus, utilize technology, enhance overall
stability, and develop and implement an exit/transition strategy.
Kevin
earned his B.S. and M.S. in Engineering, as well as his MBA from the
University of Illinois. Kevin also maintains his designation as a
Certified Exit Planner (CExP). Kevin teaches Entrepreneurship as an
Adjunct Professor for Embry Riddle University.
Joe originally joined our firm in 2017, and has rejoined in 2023. With over 6 years of M&A and finance experience, he has significant expertise in leading deals within the Healthcare, Software, and business services sectors. Notably, Joe has prioritized buyside advisory, serving as the representative for large-scale, serial acquirers in efforts to scale multi-site healthcare organizations. He has also found recent success offering sell-side advisory to certain software/tech companies. Prior to his work in the M&A industry, Joe was instrumental in the management of multiple country clubs in the Southeast.
Joe holds a BS in Management from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School for Business at Rollins College. Joe and his wife Katelyn currently reside in St Augustine, Florida.
Specializing
in business development and marketing, Osh has supported Acquivest
and JonOsh Properties since 2010. Osh also serves in an advisory
board capacity to venVelo, Erbon Software, and Ace Air Conditioning.
She has a passion for health and nutrition and continues to seek
investments in this category.
Prior
to 2010, Osh served as a Senior Product Manager for Keter Plastics,
an internationally-known manufacturer of household consumer products,
handling clients such as Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowes.
Osh
earned a BS in Industrial Engineering and Management from Ort Braude
Academic College and completed the Executive MBA program from the
Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. Before her
studies, Osh served as a Sergeant and Trainer for the IDF. Osh is an
avid runner and proud member of the West Volusia Runners. She also
donates a lot of her time to Rotary International and Larger than Life.
Enrique Machado holds an MBA from Rollins College Crummer Business School and has over 30 years of experience in sales and operations. Enrique possesses significant international experience having served as Global Operations Director in the UK, Switzerland, China, Mexico, and Sweden. Enrique specializes in contracts negotiation and removing obstacles in order to close the deal.
Jeff’s career includes 25 years of project management, implementation, and process improvement across multiple industries. Jeff owned and operated his computer services company for six years completing $10M in project volume. With strong backgrounds in accounting, technology, hospitality, small business startup and Fortune 500 services, Jeff offers a consultative approach to business owners specializing in exit strategies and growth via acquisitions.
John is a CPA with over 30 years of experience, providing business valuation services required for M&A transactions, income tax compliance, buy-sell agreements, domestic relations, and shareholder disputes. He has participated in numerous due diligence and transaction advisory services providing expertise in evaluating risks and determining quality of earnings of potential acquisitions.
He has robust experience in the healthcare sector where he was the lead on the accounting acquisition team for a $10 billion publicly traded healthcare company. John works with both established companies and startup entities, assisting management in creating value, finding synergistic partners, and liquidity through an exit.
John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), along with the Business Brokers of Florida (BBF). John earned the Accredited in Business Valuation designation (ABV) awarded by the AICPA in 1998. He received a bachelor degree from Ohio University, and a master degree in Accounting and Financial Information Systems from Cleveland State University.
George
has over 25 years experience in the areas of finance, accounting,
banking, management, marketing and business consulting. Mr. Najmy's
expertise comes from many years in the banking industry, ranging from
national banks to community banks. His most recent banking experience
includes a role as President and CEO of a community bank of
approximately $250 million in assets from 2003 to 2007. George has also
successfully purchased, operated and sold his own businesses, which
includes a medical supply company and an accounting and tax preparation
firm.
A
resident of the Manatee/Sarasota area for 26 years, Mr. Najmy has
served for a number of nonprofits, including leadership roles with the
Manatee Players, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the South
Florida Museum, the SunCoast Workforce Board and the South Manatee
Sertoma Club. Mr. Najmy graduated cum laude from the University of
Florida with a BA in Business Administration, and possesses Series 6, 63
securities and life & variable insurance licenses.
Michael joined the firm in 2021. He has had exposure to
deals in the technology, retail, and horticulture industries.
Michael is
currently working on his B.S.B.A. in Finance at the University of Central
Florida, and is originally from Homestead, Florida.
Wasseam
joined the firm in 2023. He has had exposure to deals in the retail,
distribution, and staffing industries. Prior to his work in the M&A
industry, Wasseam worked as a structural engineer for 6 years, was
licensed as a Professional Engineer in Florida for 2 years, and then
transitioned into the finance industry as a Private Equity Analyst.
Wasseam
received his B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering (Structural focused)
from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from the Crummer
Graduate School for Business at Rollins College. Wasseam also passed
the Level I CFA exam and is currently pursuing the designation.
Kavya joined the Acquivest team in 2023 and has focused on deals in the manufacturing, business services and diversified industrials segments. She has previously worked at Objective as an Investment Banking Analyst.
Kavya has received her Bachelor of Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi and her Masters in Finance from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Paul has been with the firm since 2009, and oversees all marketing design, website support, and IT/systems management for the company. He has focused on digital marketing and social media presence. Paul graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and is a licensed notary with the state of Florida.
